Statement of compliance

Statement of Conformity

A statement of conformity can be provided upon customer request or where required by applicable standards. For this purpose, the specification, standard, or other relevant requirements on which the conformity assessment is to be based must be defined. Typical examples include the standards CISPR 25 and CISPR 16-1-2 (e.g., for artificial mains networks / LISNs) or manufacturer specifications such as technical data sheets. If the selection of an appropriate specification or standard is not clear to the customer, we will be pleased to assist in defining a suitable basis for the assessment. As an accredited Conformity Assessment Body (CAB), we can recommend a technically appropriate and standards-compliant basis for the conformity assessment.

For factory calibrations, we provide a binary statement of conformity as the default, without taking measurement uncertainty into account (ILAC G8, Section 4.2).

For accredited calibrations, a non-binary statement of conformity in accordance with ILAC G8:09/2019, Section 4.2.3, is applied by default, taking measurement uncertainty into account, unless a different decision rule has been agreed upon with the customer.

The statement of conformity applies exclusively to the measurement results reported in the calibration certificate and/or to the calibrated measurement range. It does not constitute a statement regarding the conformity of the calibration item as a whole.

Decision Scenarios & Variables

In the case of a non-binary conformity statement, the following decision scenarios can be distinguished:

U: Expanded measurement uncertainty by Confidence level of 95%.

w: Guard band

UTL: Upper Tolerance Limit

LTL: Lower Tolerance Limit

UAL: Upper Acceptance Limit

LAL: Lower Acceptance Limit

Das Messergebnis befindet sich unterhalb der Akzeptanzgrenze AL = TL − U.

The measured result is below the acceptance limit, AL = TL − U.

Bestanden

Pass

p

Das Messergebnis befindet sich innerhalb des Sicherheitsbands und unterhalb der Toleranzgrenze, im Intervall [TL − U; TL].

The measured result is inside the guard band and below the tolerance limit, in the interval [TL − U; TL].

Bedingt bestanden

Conditional Pass

cp

Das Messergebnis befindet sich oberhalb der Toleranzgrenze, aber unterhalb der dem Sicherheitsband hinzugefügten Toleranzgrenze, im Intervall [TL; TL + U].

The measured result is above the tolerance limit but below the tolerance limit added to the guard band, in the interval [TL; TL + U].

Bedingt nicht bestanden

Conditional Fail

cf

Das Messergebnis befindet sich oberhalb der dem Sicherheitsband hinzugefügten Toleranzgrenze, TL + U.

The measured result is above the tolerance limit added to the guard band, TL + U.

Nicht bestanden

Fail

f

In cases where some measured values have conditionally passed or failed, Scenarios 2 and 3,the customer is responsible for deciding whether the instrument is suitable for use.
