Our Calibration Laboratory

Schwarzbeck Mess-Elektronik Calibration Laboratory

With many years of experience in the calibration of RF measuring instruments, we offer manufacturer-independent DAkkS-accredited calibrations in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018, as well as factory calibrations (ISO calibration) in our calibration laboratories. Using OATS, a quasi-free-space test site, Helmholtz coils, and a TEM cell, we are able to meet the relevant standards (CISPR, MIL-STD, SAE) with high precision and repeatability from DC up to 40 GHz.

The following table provides an overview of the most important technical measurement parameters that can be measured in our permanent calibration laboratory.

Calibration certificates

We place great importance on precision and compliance with standards, and we provide clear, traceable documentation. Upon request, we can also send you the calibration data as a *.csv file by email.

You will receive your calibration certificate in both digital (PDF) and printed formats. Additionally, you can access the corresponding certificate online at any time by scanning the data code attached to the instrument.

You will receive the calibration certificate digitally as a PDF and/or as a printed document.

Calibration Label (Data Code)

High-quality label with a secure data code on the instrument for online access to the certificate.

Important Notes

  • All accredited calibrations are performed in accordance with the accredited norms/standards or Schwarzbeck’s internal calibration procedures.
  • Measurement results are traceable to national and international standards.
  • The accreditation applies only to services explicitly listed in the laboratory’s scope of accreditation.
  • Calibration certificates are issued in accordance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025.
  • Small repairs up to 20% of the designated calibration price will be performed at no additional cost without prior notice, unless otherwise instructed by the customer.
  • If an item cannot be calibrated, no charges (except shipping costs) will apply.
  • In case a device requires adjustment/repair to fulfil the specifications, we will document as- found data, then we will adjust/repair and finally record as-left data. If the adjustment cost is less than 20% of the designated calibration price, we do not bill anything for this adjustment/repair. Recording additional as-left data will be billed with an additional 50% of the designated calibration price.

  • Manufacturer, model name and type
    Example: SCHWARZBECK - Mess-Elektronik, FMZB 1519-60 D, Active Loop Antenna
  • Serial number
    Required for clear identification and traceability.
  • Previous certificate number (optional)
    If the instruments have already been calibrated in our laboratory.
  • Accredited calibration or factory calibration

Accreditation is used to assess and regularly monitor the technical competence, reliability, independence, and integrity of calibration laboratories (conformity assessment bodies) in the public interest. This is carried out through a transparent and impartial assessment process conducted by a national accreditation body acting on behalf of the government. In Germany, this role is performed by the Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle (DAkkS).

No. As an accredited calibration laboratory, we perform manufacturer-independent calibrations. In our laboratory facilities, we can calibrate not only your Schwarzbeck measuring instruments, but also instruments from other manufacturers.
