The antenna EGG 1860 is a monopole antenna located in a PVC-housing for automotive immunity testing on component level. This antenna type is proposed in the standard ISO 11452-9. The antenna construction stems from IETR Institute d’Electronique et de Telecommunications de Rennes.
We strongly recommend to use the optionally available coaxial cable equipped with snapon-ferrites to suppress unwanted sheath currents, since the antenna itself does not provide any common mode rejection according to its monopole-nature.
The antenna housing comes with two fixture bolts, which can be used to mount the antenna either in vertical or horizontal orientation.
