AGEM 5521-23 – Electromagnet
The electromagnet is based on a split toroidal ferromagnetic core with 2 air gaps. A 7 mm wide air gap on the front side of the core serves as test area. The rear 7 mm gap houses a monitor coil for checking the flux density in the core and, consequently, in the test specimen area.
The front panel of the aluminum housing features a 7 mm slot for inserting the test specimen, the position of the specimen can be checked through the slot on the top side. The center of the working area is located 17 mm deep, measured from the front panel surface. The homogeneous field area is 7 mm wide, 7 mm deep and 30 mm high. It is determined by the position and dimension of the toroid and can be easily recognized by looking through the front slot.
The 4 mm terminals are directly connected to the coil. For applications in the lower frequency range, the generator with its associated amplifier can be connected directly to the terminals. In this frequency range, the use of an audio amplifier is recommended.
