Special LISN

VHFU 8802 - Unbalanced VHF-LISN 30 MHz – 300 MHz

VHFU 8802 – Unbalanced VHF-LISN

Frequency range (nominal): 30 MHz – 300 MHz

The VHF-LISN serves as a defined RF-termination device at the EuT’s mains cable during the radiated disturbance measurement. There are two VHF-LISN types available: the balanced VHF-LISN (VHFB 8801) and the unbalanced VHF-LISN (VHFU 8802), which can be used as an alternative to the CMAD (common mode absorption device). The impedance presented by the unbalanced VHF-LISN to each terminal of the EUT AC mains port is different (not symmetrical), resulting in an unbalanced load. This leads to a controlled conversion of differential-mode currents to common-mode currents, which depends on the value of the termination impedances, as it would occur with an unbalanced AC mains power network. This device complies with the standard CISPR 16-1-4 / Ed. 5

VHFB 8801 - Balanced VHF-LISN 30 MHz – 300 MHz

VHFB 8801 – Balanced VHF-LISN

Frequency range (nominal): 30 MHz – 300 MHz

The VHF-LISN serves as a defined RF-termination device at the EuT’s mains cable during the radiated disturbance measurement. There are two VHF-LISN types available: the balanced VHF-LISN (VHFB 8801) and the unbalanced VHF-LISN (VHFU 8802), which can be used as an alternative to the CMAD (common mode absorption device). The balanced VHF-LISN presents the same impedance to each terminal of the EUT’s AC mains power cable (symmetrical), resulting in a balanced load. This device complies with the standard CISPR 16-1-4 / Ed. 5
